EventSamaan ("we", "us", "our") operates a local marketplace mobile app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using EventSamaan, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information: the full name, email address, delivery address, and password you type in when creating an account. Your password is managed securely by Firebase Authentication — we never see it in plain text.
- Order activity: items you add to your cart and the orders you place through the app.
- App interactions: basic usage of app features, needed to make the app work.
We do not request or collect your device's precise or approximate location. Your delivery address is the one you type in yourself. We do not process any online payments — orders are paid for in cash directly to the vendor.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account.
- To let you browse the catalogue and place orders.
- To show you your own order history inside the app.
- To respond to support requests.
How your information is stored
Your account is managed by Firebase Authentication, and your profile, cart, and orders are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, both provided by Google. Security rules restrict access so that you can only read and write your own data.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We share information only with the service provider that runs the app (Google Firebase) and where required by law.
Data retention & deletion
You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app (Account → Delete account), or by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your sign-in credentials, your profile, your cart, and your order records. See our Account & Data Deletion page for details.
Children
EventSamaan is not directed at children under 13 and is intended for users 18 and over.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
